ALAN PARDEW leapt into the crowd to mark stealing a big win.
The Toon boss joked: “I did check my pockets after.”Papiss Cisse smacked in the latewinner that had Pards jumping for joy as the three points took his side five points clear of the drop zone.
And he admitted: “I did it out of sheer relief.
“I was carrying all the stress of how important the game was.
“It was a natural thing I wanted to do at the time to share it with the fans.
“But I did check my pockets after just in case one of them wasn’t a United fan.”
Cisse struck in injury time for the third home game in a row.
And Pards added: “It was a precious goal. The extra two points were vital.
“That last period was crucial. We made chances and we got the goal — even though it was late.
“Only Dimitar Berbatov could have done what he did. It was intentional the way he lifted the ball over the centre-half.”
Fulham boss Martin Jol admitted: “That is a hard defeat to take. We felt it would be our day.
“But we didn’t clear and Cisse did what he’s done a few times already.”
