Alan wants Pardy tears

 Alan Pardew

ALAN PARDEW has challenged his Toon to bring him to tears.

The Newcastle boss jumped into the crowd to celebrate Papiss Cisse’s late winner against Fulham on Sunday.
And he admits his emotions could get the better of him again tonight if his side overturn a 3-1 deficit against Benfica and reach the Europa League last four.
Pardew has also been inspired by Jurgen Klopp’s Borussia Dortmund who scored twice in injury-time on Tuesday to knock Malaga out of the Champions League.
The Magpies boss said: “My reaction on Sunday was not pre-planned.
“Moussa Sissoko asked me the next day if I had scored! Maybe I should control my feelings better.
“But the Dortmund coach was in tears at the end of his game. It is different emotions when you achieve something.
“That game against Malaga was astonishing. It has given us a real sense of belief.

Pardew: Europa League has hit Prem campaign

TOON boss insists his side will try and win against Benfica - but admits the competition has been a problem
“Trust me it will be something very, very special if we can overcome this team as they are really strong.
“I’ll possibly be in tears. It would be right up there with what I have achieved as a manager.”
Benfica are the unbeaten league leaders in Portugal and have notlost since a Champions League clash with Spartak Moscow last October — a run of 31 games.
Barcelona are the only side to have beaten the two-time European champions by two goals during this campaign.
But Pardew has faith his players can pull off a famous comeback in front of a full St James’ Park.
He said: “It will be a special night. If we need two goals with 20 minutes to go we can do it.
“We have done enough in the first leg to say we have got a big shout if we are intelligent about how we approach it.
“Winning and not going through would mean nothing to me.”
Pardew’s hopes have been boosted by the return of Hatem Ben Arfa who has recovered from a hamstring problem.
The French wing wizard is set to make his first appearance since the goalless draw with Anzhi last month. It was feared he would be out for the rest of the season.
Centre-back Steven Taylor has been ruled out with a knee injury.
Pardew said: “Ben Arfa has made an incredible recovery. He will be involved and is somebody who could turn the game.”
Pardew will also be looking for another huge performance from his front man Cisse.
Cisse, 27, said: “I hope to God I’ll score. As long as the ref has not blown his whistle the game is not over.
“Hopefully I can come out with two goals or even a hat-trick.”
