Kompany buy-out

Vincent Kompany

VINCENT KOMPANY’S fall-out with Roberto Mancini has put Europe’s super powers on high alert.

Manchester City boss Mancini criticised his skipper last week after he returned from two months out with a damaged calf in Belgium’s clash with Macedonia.
The Etihad boss insisted Kompany, 26, should have put his club first after such a lengthy absence — and Belgian sources say the City centre-back was unhappy at the public outburst.
Now Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid are all watching with interest and are likely to make a move at the end of the season, especially if Mancini remains in charge.
Barca tried to sign him last year but Kompany eventually signed a new five-year deal with City.
