ROBERTO MANCINI insists the 250 hours community service given to Carlos Tevez this week will NOT affect his career at Manchester City.
The Argentine pleaded guility to driving offences on Wednesday. But he will not be fined by the club and Mancini does not feel it will have any impact on Monday’s Manchester derby.
He said: “I think Carlos made a mistake and he pays for it. Usually he is well behaved.
“Will it cause him a problem? No. I haven’t spoken to him about this.”
Tevez’s team-mate Samir Nasri was also hit with a driving ban this week but Mancini does not feel it reflects badly on the club.
He said: “This is their private life. We can do nothing. It happens.”
Striker Tevez, 29, has one year left on his City deal and talks have yet to start over a new contract.
But Mancini said: “I am confident about it. We have time to talk.”
