PEPE REINA has been told he WILL be Liverpool’s keeper next season after boss Brendan Rodgers quashed talk of a return to Barcelona.
Reina has been touted as a replacement for Victor Valdes who is likely to be sold after saying he will not sign a new deal.But Rodgers said: “I am counting on him for next season, yes.
“He’s never been unsettled and our relationship is very strong.
“Pepe and I speak a lot. He’s a good man and I’ve real respect for him.”
Spaniard Reina, 30, rose through the youth ranks at Barcelona but signed a six-year deal with Liverpool in 2010.
Meanwhile, the Reds have revealed they will head to Australia and Thailand this summer.
The Reds will play in Melbourne on July 24 and Bangkok on July 28.
