FIFA probing Suarez punch

LUIS SUAREZ is being investigated by FIFA for allegedly punching Chile’s Gonzalo Jara in a World Cup qualifier last month.

The ref missed the incident when Liverpool’s Uruguayan striker clashed with Nottingham Forest defender Jara during Chile’s 2-0 win in Santiago.
Uruguayan media said Suarez reacted after Jara ‘grabbed his genitals’.
FIFA has given the Uruguayan FA until April 17 to respond. Suarez, booked for a separate infringement, is already banned for Uruguay’s next qualifier in Venezuela on June 11.
