Draxler 'honored' by Inter interest

The Germany international feels flattered that several big clubs are keeping tabs on him, but has stressed he has an ongoing contract with his current team
Schalke midfielder Julian Draxler feels "honored" to have attracted the interest of Inter as well as a number of other European giants.

The Germany international has been in sublime form throughout the 2012-13 campaign, netting seven goals in 23 Bundesliga appearances, and his good performances have not gone unnoticed.

Aside from Inter, Juventus is closely monitoring Draxler's progress as well, while the attacking midfielder has also caught the attention of several Premier League sides.

"I have heard that a number of prestigious teams are keeping tabs on me, with Inter being one of those clubs," the 19-year-old told Sport Bild. "I obviously feel honored with the interest from other clubs, even though my contract with Schalke will not expire until 2016."

Draxler made his official first team debut at Schalke at the age of 17 and recently made his 100th official appearance for the Konigsblauen.
