United lost out on what would have been its 20th league crown in dramatic circumstances last season, but can make amends against Paul Lambert's strugglers.
It looked as though Sir Alex Ferguson's men would have to wait at least another week when City took an early lead against Spurs at White Hart Lane, but a seven-minute blitz saw Clint Dempsey, Jermain Defoe and Gareth Bale turn the match on its head.
For Ferguson, it would mark his 13th league title with United during his 27 years in charge, while the Old Trafford club would move two league crowns clear of Liverpool, which has 18 titles to its name.
